EXAMPLES FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT

MOSES AS A MIRACULOUS SIGN TO MAKE THE PEOPLE BELIEVE

2. AARON AND HUR UPHELD THE HANDS OF MOSES WHEN HE WAS WEARY AND HELPED THE ISRAELITES
TO WIN THE BATTLE

3. THE FATHER IN LAW OF MOSES GAVE VALUABLE ADVICE WHICH GREATLY ENHANCED THE LEADERSHIP
ABILITY OF MOSES

4. GIDEON : GOD TOLD GIDEON ’GO IN THE STRENGTH YOU HAVE AND YOU WILL DEFEAT THE
MIDIANITES’

5. DAVID DEFEATED GOLIATH WITH A SLING AND A STONE IN HIS HAND. HE DID NOT NEED TO USE THE

COULD AND NAAMAN WAS HEALED OF LEPROSY.

The Lord desires for  us to do what we can and He will do His part.                                                                          
If we do what is possible then God will do the impossible.                                                                                  
If we will give what we have then God will use it to perform miracles.                                                                        
The Lord will not ask us to do what we are not able do.                                                                                     
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ does not ask us to give what we are not able to give or have.                       
The Lord will not put unreasonable pressure on us to do what is beyond our ability to do.                                                                              
The Lord desires for us to be faithful to do what He has ask us to do and give what we can give and
help our neighbor in the time of need.                                                                                                                            
God the Father and the Son will be faithful to bless us abundantly when we do so.

Matthew 25:31-46
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit
upon the throne of his glory:                                                                                                                                                           
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a
shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:                                                                                                                 
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.                                                                 
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the
kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:                                                                                    
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger,
and ye took me in:                                                                                                                                                                               
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.        
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee?
or thirsty, and gave thee drink?                                                                                                                                       
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire,
prepared for the devil and his angels:                                                                                                                       
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:                        
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye
visited me not.                                                                                                                                                                   
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a
stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?                                                           
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the
least of these, ye did it not to me.                                                                                                                                     
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.


PROVERBS 3:27-28
27 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.                 
28 Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.

JAMES 4:17
17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.


GALATIANS 6:9-10
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

JAMES 2:14-17

PSALM 41:1-3

MATTHEW 5:13-16

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is
thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.                                      
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.                                                           
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light
unto all that are in the house.     16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good
works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.


ROMANS 12:6-8

6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us
prophesy according to the proportion of faith;                                                                                                         
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;                                                           
8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth,
with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
